Pronoun

A pronoun is a word that substitutes for a noun or another pronoun. The word or phrase replaced by a pronoun is called antecedent.

Examples:
George planned George’s travel itinerary.
George planned his travel itinerary.

The children will go to the playground. The children will play hide and seek.
The children will go to the playground. They will play hide and seek.


Types of Pronouns
A pronoun can be personal, demonstrative, interrogative, possessive, relative, reflexive, intensive, reciprocal or indefinite. Click here to view the types of pronouns.

Singular and Plural Pronouns
